The card bill stops being a surprise
A grocery run on 12 August was spent on 12 August. The 86.40 leaves your account on 12 September, when the bill falls due. Both facts live on the same row, so both months stay true.
A dinner paid in another currency
Pay 68.00 in euros on a workspace that counts in dollars. The receipt still says euros, the rate is kept with the row, and your monthly total says what it really cost you at home.
Rent types itself
Enter rent once and it shows up in every month ahead. The next sixty days of money in and out are already drawn without you typing August, then September, then October.
A grocery cap that counts the card
Give groceries 800.00 for August. The card purchase whose bill lands in September still counts against August, because August is the month you spent it. Going over warns you; it never blocks the entry.
